So, when will lawmakers catch up on this? How many more studies are EU politicians still waiting for?

If you are interested in learning at the intersection of data science and activism, I can highly recommend this online course. I’ve worked closely with Alexandre, who runs to course, and learned so much from him. He embodies a really are mixture of technical expertise and social awareness.

Great to see Naomi Alderman bigging up the Open University in the Observer's On My Radar column this morning...

As the holder of both an OU first degree & a later MA (done like Alderman while I was working) I completely endorse this message.... a great British institution that has done so much to democratise university education.

"The workshop will also illustrate how to calculate different measures of inequality of access to opportunities and accessibility poverty, which are crucial to assess the accessibility impacts of transportation projects from a transportation equity perspective. The nurturing psychological action of accomplishing something new is a superpower of our minds. Our minds want to reward us for learning. It's so important to gift yourself this!

It's been a hard few months. But also in that time I've learned to bake bread, how to make a fancy skirt, tried a new swimming stroke. I swear I can FEEL my brain healing as I do these things. Good, engaged, small learning breaks chronic stress cycles and pulls you into mindfulness.

I'm very sorry to hear this:

Professor Peter Higgs died on Monday 8 April.

I always felt that as long as Peter Higgs was with us in Edinburgh, we were better off as faculty in a chaotic world.

Peter Higgs: I wouldn't be productive enough for today's academic system

Physicist doubts work like Higgs boson identification achievable now as academics are expected to 'keep churning out papers'
