Films that really deserve a Blu-ray release #3:

Blood and Roses (Roger Vadim, 1960). Given its importance in the history of EuroHorror, one would hope that Roger Vadim's take on Carmilla would still find a receptive audience. Presaging titles such as Daughters of Darkness or the vampire films of Franco, Rollin, etc, this wonderful film provides a template for the vampire erotica that would even find itself emulated in late period Hammer. #Cinemastodon #Movies #Cinema #BluRay #PhysicalMedia

Movies young and old, from fright flicks to cracking comedies, from the latest blockbusters to the rarest cult treats.

POKER FACES (1926): Where has this gem been hiding? Uproarious #silentfilm comedy with everybody’s favorite henpecked husband Edward Everett Horton given simple task of getting a new client to sign with his firm, which begins a hilarious farcical series of mistaken identity gags centered on Horton, his wife Laura LaPlante (as vivacious as she ever was in the silent era), his boss, the woman he hired to be his wife for the night (long story)… I haven’t enjoyed a comedy like this in a long while.
