Journalists:
Stop using weak and cravenly worded phrases re whether “the country is ready to elect an African American woman.” Be direct and unapologetic with the question:

👉 Is America STILL a home to so many racists, bigots, and misogynists that a highly educated, experienced, and qualified candidate like Vice Pres. Kamala Harris can’t get elected when running for POTUS against a 78-year-old White rapist, fraudster, and insurrectionist?

The New York Times still has not run a single news article about Donald Trump's convention speech that mentions his praise for Victor Orban & Kim Jung Un.
Trump Allies Try to Bully Dems, Media to Shut Up About His Fascist Plans

Republicans are seeking to capitalize on Trump’s assassination attempt — using it to demand everyone stop talking about his threats to democracy.

Rolling Stone
@gtconway3 Not the least of which are the media, for different reasons. Many seem excited to be able to report on such a “historic” event, as if being shot at wasn’t a daily occurrence somewhere in this country. Hyperbole high, facts low.
@w7voa And what was it before? Hardly a new problem.
@nonproductive @samlitzinger Latest update reports a bystander was shot and killed.
@samlitzinger Odd that there appeared to be several shots, and the only one that clipped him. What about the other shots?
Thoughts and prayers…
With one party we can talk about shitty elected officials and run for office and campaign to get more progressive candidates in office. In the other there are never trustworthy elections or checks and balances ever again. Stop fucking following Russian bot taking points. They are not the same.

SCOTUS has ruled that presidents are essentially monarchs who can commit crimes, bribery is legal, federal regulatory agencies have no authority to keep us safe, and homeless people can be punished for being homeless.

Is it any wonder why public approval of this court is so low?
