In what looks to be an intensifying quest to reshape #AmericanHistory & scholarship according to his own preferences, #Trump this week targeted the #Smithsonian Institution, the national repository of #USHistory & #memory. Trump seemed outraged, in particular, by the Smithsonian’s portrayal of the Black experience in America.
So Trump retributioned Bolton.
Trump threatened to take over Chicago.
Trump threatened to have the "regular military" take over DC.
Why all this today?
