@Skip I emailed a state official to make sure I am following the correct procedures to register, as I am new to registering here.

Thankfully, I live near the state capital, so if I have to go in person to get squared away with my "identity documents," I will.

I am also a short drive from my former state, so if I need more paperwork from them, like birth certificates, etc., it's #roadtrip time. I would have had to do this anyways to satisfy the #RealID https://www.dhs.gov/real-id driver's license requirements coming down the pipe, so this is OK with me.

The #California #barExam is one of the most difficult tests administered in the US. While most states have a first-time pass rate of between 65-75%, in California it's between 45-55%. A LOT of #attorneys need to take the test multiple times, and the fact that someone didn't pass on the first try is no indication of their intelligence, knowledge, or aptitude.
