Hello fellow humans!
I create sewing patterns ad share them for free with the world. You can even adjust your patterns to your own measurements!

So, I did some additional options to my bodice and skirt #sewing pattern kit: https://www.dressdeveloper.com/pattern-kits/bodice-and-skirt-dress/

You can now aditionally choose between two princessline bodices and a there are two noew skirt options (gathered and quarter Circle skirt) as well.

This pattern kit is so versatile. I can totally see shift dresses, romantic flowy sun dresses, practical everyday dresses...

Did I mention it's free and you can create the patterns for your very own measurements? ๐Ÿ˜†

Recently we talked about large bust darts. It can be tricky to sew up a large dart without it getting "pointy" in the wrong way.

That's why I love princess lines. Basically the pattern is divided along the dart lines and smoothed out, so you get a much softer look. This can be done in knit fabrics, too!

Here are some of my favourites:

Love me a good big pocket. Even in half scale this one almost fits my hand. ๐Ÿ˜†

Ok, so I made my jacket pattern all over again, this time in cotton and half scale. Thatโ€™s much easier to film. (Though not necessarily easier to sew ๐Ÿ˜…)
A couple of additional shots tomorrow, then editing and we SHOULD have a new tutorial out next weekend. ๐Ÿ˜€

P.S. little Livvie ( the dress form) has quite a wardrobe. And these little thingies are all so cute! ๐Ÿฅฐ
Huh, I didnโ€™t remember I went THAT overboard with buying fabrics last year. I better get the measurements and start thinking of patterns that will fit my stash. Note to future self: pattern first, fabric second. ๐Ÿ˜…

I enyojed making gifts for my niece and nephew when they were little. These are my favourit makes: A doll diaper bag with cloth diapers and felt "wet wipes" and a felt pizza for the play kitchen. All these little topings were so much work but it was totally worth it. :)

Felt a bit nostalgic today and went through my old blog posts. Terrible pictures, but there are some very nice #sewing projects from over a decade ago, before I got into this pattern software thing. But already all self drafted. So I thought I share some of these.

I don't seem to have pictures from my very first garment, but this is close, my second jacket. Year is 2013. It is made from a wool/cashmere blend, thinsulate interlining and something... silky, I don't remember what it was. :)

Ok, the teddy bear jacket is done. It's huge! :D And very cozy. Was a bit of a pain to sew but that's only because of the extremely thick fabric.

Sadly, the video material will not work for my usual instruction video. I might need to sew a completely different jacket for that.

But the free pattern kit is live anyway: https://www.dressdeveloper.com/pattern-kits/jackets/

The pattern is pretty simple and you can check out my coat videos if you need help with the pocket and the lining.

I did it! Took me quite some trials and errors, but I finally made a great #glutenfree bread! It is soft and so tasty! And it smells just like a good sandwich loaf. I feared the rice flour would come through but it doesnโ€™t at all. I used a mixture of buckwheat, rice and oat flour, potato and cornstarch, salt, little bit of honey, #sourdough and since that did not rise properly over night some yeast, too.
Gosh I hope I can replicate that later, since I didnโ€™t measure anything. ๐Ÿ˜…

Okay, the collar is in. Not my neatest nor most secure stitching, but the fluffy fabric at least hides it well.
Sadly I have discovered I need to finish the sleeves by hand, too. ๐Ÿ™„
Nah, not today, Iโ€™ll finish this beast next weekend. #sewing
