@D4rksigns This might have once been the case but I think it's less and less so. The problem with republics is instead of actually having a direct say in things like a real democracy, we elect people to tell us what to do, we elect our rulers essentially, and once in power, they do what they like. We hope that it'll be what we like. But that's less and less the case unfortunately.
