@andrew @mark_safe also, it kinda starts by engaging with the folks on your own local instance which, presumably, is focused on an area of interest that you are interested in. Which is what we are doing here but it doesn't really count since we are already friends from the wayback.
I'm still catching on but it seems like following tags is a good way to find posts you are interested in. Then, commenting and boosting and posting with that tag.
@determinerik I don't really much like either model of moderation - centralized corporate policy motivated primarily by profit, or decentralized moderation by peers and community. The decentralized model seems superior but it's not clear exactly how or how well it functions and it seems prone to a politically correct well-intentioned mommy effect.
Moderating people's words is hard. I guess it's up to us here so I had better bone up on what's ok and what's not ok.
