Thomas AdamI reminded myself earlier, of #cream which was a configuration set for vim.
Long before all these popular frameworks came about with Lua and other stuff, I used to use cream:
The website is still up, and the latest release was in 2011 -- although I must have been using it circa 2002/2003.
It's all written in vimscript as well, and the contributors are well-known Vim people as well:

It's interesting to see how times have changed since then as well -- especially in terms of config frameworks for (neo)vim, etc.
I'm not suggesting it's necessarily for the better...

Haha 😁. No one believes when I say that about Nix to others. They get confused a lot. I'm using NVF for neovim. It's great❤️. The problem of neovim configuration is overcame with a default easy to set config. Using neovim for basic usage now. Will explore it deeper as I use.

Git clone my-nixos-config-repo && cd myrepo
&& nh os switch -a .
That's all.
I'll go chill and then come back after sometime and it'll be in the state I have configured along with my home manager including all my ricing, dotfiles etc down to the exact version I have mentioned in my config.
