Every #TheSandman fan: “OMG IT’S MATTHEW!”
I'm just here for 'The Sandman', mostly. Trying my hand at writing some fanfic for fun and using social media(s) for the first time... 🫣

Every #TheSandman fan: “OMG IT’S MATTHEW!”
I'm new to all of this. I followed N. Gaiman here from Twitter but only got Twitter this past August to follow 'The Sandman'. I read the novels 26 years ago and was blown away by the Netflix adaptation. I decided to give fandom a try and contribute by writing fanfic. So far, I've learned that fanfic is not a respected media, even though it's really a mixed bag. I was hoping for more critique, but maybe there are better ways... 🤔 In any case, Sandfans, where are you???
Isn't it kinda weird that #Mastodon gets described as 'left-leaning' because we handle more strickt rules and don't tolerate things like bullying.. It could be me but I perceive this as 'normal'.
I mean you don't call people all kinds of names in a conversation on the street or in the store right? Even if you don't agree🤔
Somehow it feels the (online) standards for treating each other have declined so much over the past few years
Let them talk, we are a loving and happy community!
As more folks from The Other Place start coming in, the more they will (initially at least) bring the culture of The Other Place with them.
This is not to sound an alarm. It is a reminder and a call to continue practicing the thoughtfulness and kindness that is the culture of this place. Be the change, nawmean?
