Indeed! The data is loaded either from Overpass or directly from the API, so it is more or less "realtime". You can even edit OSM directly from MapComplete, that's the point.

BTW: the official Mastodon account is @MapComplete ; there also is an automated account which posts a summary of changes made with #MapComplete with some images: @mapcomplete

Bolsonaro supporters are gleefully documenting every moment of this takeover attempt because they think they will succeed and even if they don't, that there will be no consequences.

Pro-Bolsonaro rioters storm Brazil's top government offices

RIO DE JANEIRO (AP) — Supporters of former Brazilian President Jair Bolsonaro who refuse to accept his election defeat stormed Congress, the Supreme Court and presidential palace Sunday, a week after the inauguration of his leftist rival, President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva.

I always wondered how the concrete the Romans used (such as to cast the dome of the Pantheon in Rome) has lasted so long. Some MIT researchers have just discovered the answer. https://news.mit.edu/2023/roman-concrete-durability-lime-casts-0106
Riddle solved: Why was Roman concrete so durable?

Researchers have discovered ancient Roman concrete-manufacturing strategies that incorporated self-healing. Applying this knowledge toward modern cement production, they hope to improve the material’s environmental impact.
