My heart always sinks a bit when i see gofundme's bc i want to put the whole world to rights and wasn't blessed with the means. So many needs in this world but this one hits close to home.

I've been sharing here how for a decade i was housebound. We didn't have the means nor did we live in a place where a mobility scooter would have done me much good. My account is now just basically a joyful spam of me and my newfound independence so when a person i share interests with (a podcast) came heartbroken for their distraught loved one and the theft of their ebike... something crucial to their independence and mental health, all i could think about is this:

In the podcast we love there is a line that sticks with me: "When you look around you, do you see a thing done wrong? or a thing done right?"

Both. I see a thing done wrong and then so many times as many beautiful things done right as this person approaches their goal to replace what was taken and i like that ratio. I've had the gutwrench of things done wrong to me but then i've also had the aching, how-do-i-ever-say-thank-you faith restored of heart-shattering kindness. I'm sharing this bc it's what i can do to be part of a thing done right <3

We moved here last fall, and it wasn’t until yesterday that I was able to see the whole park i live across from for the first time. I can’t say enough how excellent this little machine is. It went over grass and dirt and gravel paths and even went uphill. It’s so solid and sturdy and mine 😊
