elbowcrookerCan squirrels swim? Well yes - after a fashion. This one sat on top of the post looking longingly at the sunflower seed bird-feeder which hangs from the washing line. My patio door was open so I took the photo below and the squirrel descended the post. As I sat back down, I heard a splash; I think he had leapt up at the feeder, missed it and landed in the pond which is behind those spiky yellow rushes.
He struggled out and ran off before I could get a photo.
