Well, bother.

My #FuriPhone FLX1s ( #FuriPhoneFLX1s ) can see the T-Mobile network, but only shows 1% signal strength, and keeps dropping the network, at which point it needs to be rebooted to see the network again. I’ve submitted a support ticket, but maybe @furilabs will respond here?

since that browsergate site about LinkedIn seems to be gaining traction I figure I should mention: - yes, LinkedIn does do what's being claimed (though, it's that it probes for *specific* extensions you're running, using features in chrome's API - it doesn't "search your computer") - it does seem to have been doing this since at least as far back as [2017](https://github.com/dandrews/nefarious-linkedin), and there has been intermittent reporting on it over the years - I'm fairly confident the copy on the site was generated by (or at least went through) an LLM, so idk that this site is the best way to spread the issue around edit: and as [someone else noted in the replies](https://not-brain.d.on-t.work/notes/akl6hp4gjqcp8d7h), looking through the list of extensions of scans for... they're [pretty much all "AI"/scraper/automation plugins](https://browsergate.eu/extensions/). so, should LinkedIn be doing this, or even *able* to do this in Chrome? no! but also, it does seem like the stuff they're scanning for is all extensions that shouldn't exist to begin with tbh edit 2: please see [this follow-up post](https://social.treehouse.systems/@vantiss/116342005257886265) which proves this is just a shitty campaign by people who made an addon called "Teamfluence" that got blocked by LinkedIn

@Tamami I’ve also got one I bought from you, but I’m holding that until I see that the framer doesn’t screw anything up along the way.

Haven’t figured out the location for them yet, but we’ll do that once the framed art is home again.

Called the bowl done today, after getting tired of the long cure times with Tried and True Varnish Oil and switching to Birchwood Casey TruOil gunstock finish on the outside. I think it came out looking pretty good. #WoodTurning #Resin

@xabean Here’s a project by a guy who’s built a sharpening sled for his circular saw blades, on which I plan to base mine: https://craftisian.com/projects/14133-table-saw-blade-sharpening-sled-jig

Table Saw Blade Sharpening Sled Jig 🔸️

INTRODUCTION So for a while I've been wanting to sharpen my table saw blades, chop saw blades, heck! ... any circular saw blade. I've got a couple of 10" Forrest blades, several 10" Diablo combination blades, a Ridgid 10", a DeWalt 10".... it goes on

No photos today; when I inspected the bowl this morning, I figured it’s about as good as I’m going to get it, so I started applying some Tried & True Varnish Oil. Got the first coat on and buffed out, and now it has to sit until tomorrow before I can scuff it with 0000 steel wool, and apply another coat.

I also cut some live oak scraps into equilateral triangles. I’ll cut some similarly-sized walnut or bubinga triangles. Plan is a big hexagonal blank which will be part of a bigger project.

Another morning working on the bowl. This morning was almost entirely card scraper work, though there was a little sandpaper for a few spots. Then a coat of 50-50 tung and orange oil. I’ll let that dry, give it another inspection and then on to the bulk of the finishing if all is well. More deets in the alt-text. #woodWorking #Finishing #FinishingPrep
This morning, I spent another hour and change finish-turning the outside of the bowl, then going back and filling the tiny cracks from the juniper drying with purple cosmetic mica and CA glue. This combination ends up being harder than the juniper wood (I might’ve said this was chokecherry earlier; I was confused), so when I sand off the excess, I’m still left with a tiny ridge. Not really visible as such, but it’s interesting to touch, and more kintsugi than wabi-sabi. (1/2)
I put a test-coat of oil on so I could see how things are progressing. A little hand-sanding, and the outside will be done, except for turning off the tenon on the bottom and smoothing the bottom of the bowl. Not sure if that will happen on the lathe (with a jam chuck, most likely) or by hand in the bench. A lot will depend on how thin I turn the walls tomorrow or Friday. More details in the alt-text. #woodTurning #crackRepair (2/2)
Got a session out in the shop this evening. Rough-hollowed the bowl so that I can finish turn it maybe next week. It gets the weekend for the epoxy to cure and the wood to finish drying, and possible crack some more. I also might decide to touch up some of the chip-out in the epoxy where it wasn’t cured enough, but I’ll decide that tomorrow, as any patches will be small enough to cure very quickly. I think it’ll end up being a right handsome bowl when complete, though. #woodTurning
