This perspective, which some have referred to as “techno feudalism“ aligns with the tendency among cyberlibertarians to move towards fascism and recommend monarchy and other forms of absolute rule. From this perspective, the only politics that matter are those realized through technology…”

Can’t emphasize enough how important it is now for all in particpatory democracy to become literate about the politics of Cyberlibertarianism. It has caught people off guard including most in #civictech and #publicinteresttech, some of which have aided Musk due to a lack of literacy. Wiser liberation requires updated literacy.

Opinion: Elon Musk just X'd out the sharing, caring ethos of the internet once and for all

Twitter's user-friendly blue bird got replaced by a user-frightening black X, a lot like the skull-and-crossbones on cartoon bottles of poison. Fitting, right?

Still hold the hypothesis that Musk’s plan all along is to ruin Twitter. To spoil the waters. In order to undercut journalistic accountability and mass demos organizing against oligarchy.

All the staff cuts and limitations are similar to “starving the beast” in right wing politics cutting funding and killing public departments in their seeking to undermine public services and accelerate privatization & increase private control.
