Petitionen: Petition 180180

Just a light little personal project. If you own a Framework Laptop 16 and wonder what the heck to do with those little LED modules, here's your sign. ;)

To clear up my bad photos:

- Music off or stopped, on battery, left module shows battery level with animated fill, right module displays time remaining (not in picture here)

- Music off or stopped, Pulse animation indicates active charging (left), real-time power consumption tracking (right) (not in picture here)

- Music on, Left module: music track progress bar (not battery, a progress indicator), Right module: scrolling artist and song information (image shown here)

@matthartley That makes it a whole lot clearer... I thought you were playing Tetris or something. XD

New release, fixed border issue for track playback progress, left LED. Now lacks border, indicates upward progress as music track plays.

@matthartley this is cool! Maybe I should finally buy those LED modules...
@matthartley Ohhhh I love this! I can't wait to be able to buy one 🙏 This looks so cool!

@matthartley Neat.

Skimming through the readme it appears that the battery level switches to track song progress during music playback. It still looks like a battery however, which is confusing. Am I reading that right?

@baishen Good eye. No, it's a progress bar on the left when the music is playing. It progresses as the song does. Useful for knowing how long a song has left.

Then when music is not playing, on battery, it shows the discharge and on power, shows the charging. Animation reflects all.

@matthartley The track progress bar makes sense. It's the fact that it still looks like the battery indicator that causes me problems. :-)
@baishen Heh, yeah, next version I'll mix it up. But if you see it in person, it's an ah ha moment as it reacts very differently with music. Patterns. :) I was trying to be clever, like the song coming to a close "recharged my batteries", hence the same outline for music.
@matthartley Cool! I use the top 16 rows to display CPU. Still have 18 rows to do something else with 🙂
Here is my code, it's newbie and not cleaned up but maybe someone can have a use for it: https://codeberg.org/darkstar/my-fw16-ledmatrix
@higgins I have never seen this 1/2 key 😄 is it a custom layout or is it common in some country?
@rene_dev It's a Swedish keyboard so country specific, we also have these guys :-) å ä ö
@matthartley charge your poor laptop!!!!

@matthartley
I have no idea, and yet...bookmarking this. (Thx @Madagascar_Sky for boosting it.)
@matthartley where to get the multi-colored keyboard? Or didn't I notice that? Bought mine last year, I'm very happy with it!

@matthartley Oh, that sucks!! I was wanting to get the 12, but now I I really really want the 16. That's really cool. I'd love to have those, even just for the fun of it. Crap crap crap.... You're going to con me into getting two aren't you. Nuts.
@mike Heh, thanks! Yeah, I have to be honest. Big screen, dGPU, the 16 is pretty slick. :)
