As we work through day 4, we are trying to stay warm. It was -24C at 7 a.m. and our chickens aren't happy. They tolerate the cold more than piles of snow but 2 of our ladies have a bit of frostbite developing on comb and wattle after last night. 💔 I'm so glad that it's supposed to be warming up for the next few days.

#homeschooling I told kiddo that we would take a Christmas break from bookwork with the boundaries of doing some regular reading, getting outside, building some STEM kits and baking. So far, we have accomplished one cinnamon cake with chocolate frosting frosting, a couple books, and surviving (enjoying) the winter weather. Day 1 down, 5 to go until he has new Christmas presents to entertain. 😂 Stay tuned.
