@jayrosen_nyu It’s yet another sinister form of NYT both-sides-ing. One side has an investigation? The other side has a counter-investigation.

In actuality, one side has nearly completed an investigation and the other side will now attempt to sabotage and discredit it.

The best photo I’ve ever taken. Macquarie Island.
I don’t think it will all fit in there.

I used to travel to #SanFrancisco a lot for business. That's where I really started getting into photography.

Our miserly reluctance to retweet has always been a great example of how we capitulate to economies of artificial scarcity which reinforce the false logic of marginal economics.

There’s no need to economize! Smash that boost. Its stock is bottomless. And by doing so you are “federating” this system, quite literally making us all more visible to one another across the arbitrary borders of instance-iation & the real restraints on servers.

It's, ultimately, just a web site owned by an increasingly hostile billionaire. The only way to win is to move elsewhere.

I still visit, but just to find friends to tell them where I've moved.

Meanwhile, the wealthiest one percent got $29 trillion richer in those same 30 years.

This is what oligarchy looks like.

Boss made a dollar
Grandad made a dime
But that was a poem
From a simpler time

Boss made a thousand
Gave my pa a cent
But that penny bought a mortgage
Or at least it paid the rent

Now boss makes a million
And gives us jack
Smugly blames his workers
For the labor that he lacks
