Inside every cynic there's an idealist trying to get out. As if.

If you're irritated by my hair-splitting, please excuse me - I'm seeking clarification, not confrontation.

On November 25, at the urging of a far-right troll, Elon Musk banned the @CrimethInc Twitter account.

Musk’s goal in acquiring Twitter had nothing to do with ā€œfree speechā€ā€”it was a partisan move to silence opposition, paving the way for fascist violence.

I'd quite like to change my name legally to 'Reopen Nominations', stand for offices in various membership organisations and see what happens. šŸ#discord

Shortly moving instance.

ā€˜Not enough for people and planet’: Critics denounce COP27 deal

While a fund for poorer nations was established, ā€˜no progress’ was made to reduce emissions and abandon fossil fuels.

What a headline in this Nature Editorial: "Overhyping hydrogen as a fuel risks endangering net-zero goals" šŸ‘

Key point: "...hydrogen should be used judiciously, to address emissions that can’t be eliminated in other ways. Many of the uses being touted do not tick that box."

And on H2-based E-fuels: "...they are a distraction when it comes to personal vehicles, for which efficient batteries are already available."

The stock market is failing according to the CBI. So why don’t we just let it go?

I posted this on Twitter this morning: https://twitter.com/RichardJMurphy/status/1942861045426516103 My point is serious. The CBI is saying that the situation with regard to the UK stock exchange is getting desperate, because it is losing out to overseas markets and not attracting sufficient business. The question that needs to be asked is, why is that?...
