Humans can make good domestic animals, but they also demand a great deal of attention. They can be inquisitive and endearing and, properly cared for, a human should live to 80 or more.
The main warning is that a group of humans can obey a pack behaviour, becoming strongly attached to particular imaginaries, to the point of neglecting material reality or even killing each other in large numbers. One way to mitigate this is a thorough clear-out of their symbolic system at least every generation.
