mcneelyTo this extent I'm really interested to know how the age breakdown of people on the #Fediverse. On one hand it would seem to make sense to me that most people here remember the "old internet" before the centralization and they're here to rekindle that flame of independence. On the other hand the youths are generally pretty up on this whole technology thing. I grew up on the internet and since then smartphones have become even more ubiquitous.

I ventured over here to get away from the bird site, and I have some feelings about it. I've been on all the socials at various times and always feel sad and angry after reading the replies and comments. It's so toxic at times. The pile ons are horrible. But I have found Mastodon to be a wonderful place where people have discussions, not arguments. I'm trying to learn all the conventions, I hope to get better at it. Just wanted to say how wonderful it is here. Thank you!
