Outage Alert: Follow up to the previously announcement. I need to migrate the primary database from the failover Server.

This might/will cause A.S to go down due to the size of the disks/memory.

(I will be doing this in 15 minutes but it's dark out so I hope nobody even notices... unless you're in perth I guess  )

Update: Primary DB has migrated successfully to the faster server. Everything is in it's right place now. 

 Update: server maintenance was completed ahead of schedule. It will be slightly slower until I’ve finished migrating everything back to the primary server (none of this requires an outage).

Shutting down VMs. Backing up and patching in 10 minutes.

A.S Servers will be back as soon as possible. (I need to replace the NICs and upgrade the host BIOSs so I need to shut everything down and complete a full reboot)

  Update: Aus.Social has updated to the latest mastodon code and I've enabled the "incoming quotes" feature.

So you'll start seeing quote toots in your feed... it will take a few more months until we can actually post your own quote toots.
