There are a few problematic reasons, like scouring people's content to use and quote without permission, but most notably, they've used a tool developed by kiwifarms (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kiwi_Farms) to scan instance blocklists . The fedi culture generally is very anti-tabloid-journalism and obviously there are concerns about privacy, but using a tool developed by known harassers for the sole purpose of harassing is over the line.
