It’s been a while…
#KnowYourAuthors 9. Do you take breaks from your writing? Is it good for you?
Yes. i haven’t touched #hostiletakeover in 4 months. It is no good for me because i lose all muse and now im struggling to get back into it.
#KnowYourAuthors 8 (are there two of these a day, or did I just somehow get behind?): Do you write your entire piece and then edit, or go back and edit while you’re still writing?
Hybrid. I do a lot of as-it-goes editing, but I save the big edits for when the work is fully done. Otherwise, I'd spend too much time adjusting what I already wrote instead of writing.
#KnowYourAuthors 7 Do you most enjoy writing in past settings, modern day settings, or futuristic settings? When is your current WIP set?
I seem to have missed this one. My series spans three different timelines of a different world: Mage Era, Dragon Age, and Modern Era. Even the earliest is set far in our world's future.
#KnowYourAuthors 8 Do you write your entire piece and then edit, or go back and edit while you’re still writing?
My writing sessions start off with me reading at least one chapter back, sometimes more, to get back into the "zone," and I will edit at that time.
#KnowYourAuthors 8. Do you write and then edit, or edit while writing?
Constantly editing all the time. It's a bad habit. I don't do big tear downs until a while after the first draft though.
