It is utterly utopian at this time, but we really shouldn鈥檛 have to leave academia or exist for years on precarious or fixed-term employment.*
*This is not about individual choices to stay or leave, but higher education should really be a place that supports and nurtures teaching, research and outreach. Those skills are worth remunerating properly.
