One of the challenges of glacially slow thinking, where that is the point, is that when there's an abstract deadline it's excruciating to force yourself towards a coherent milestone so you can draft something. 馃槵
Histories of Fascism and Anti-Fascism in Australia

Histories of Fascism and Anti-Fascism in Australia provides a history of fascist movements and anti-fascist resistance in Australia over the past century. In recent years, the far right has become a resurgent force across the globe, resulting in populist parties securing electoral victories, social movements organising on the streets, and acts of right-wing terrorism. This would be devastating for historians and other researchers, both in Australia and overseas, with digital sources being so important in the last few years. Trove is a valuable resource that needs to be funded properly. #FundTrove #SaveTrove #auspol

I hosted a webinar on Hacking Executive Function for Neurodivergent Burnouts.

I have now uploaded a captioned recording of the session to PeerTube and YouTube.

The event was free but there was an optional fundraiser for my friend, who is a Black formerly incarcerated single mother of 3. If you enjoy this recording please contribute. She has to move next month and needs support with moving expenses.

This week's @ResearchWhisperer post is by @brkeogh, about how to run online events that aren't horrible. It's a fabulous piece - complex, considered, very engaging.

Thank you, Brendan, for this. And the best thing about it in terms of longer-term RW content? The seeds of the post were planted during Masty interactions.

It is utterly utopian at this time, but we really shouldn鈥檛 have to leave academia or exist for years on precarious or fixed-term employment.*

*This is not about individual choices to stay or leave, but higher education should really be a place that supports and nurtures teaching, research and outreach. Those skills are worth remunerating properly.
