I love wandering in nature, traveling, photographing. Mainly birds and other wildlife. I post on iNaturalist.org—that is, what’s known as citizen science.

@adb43 Could be. Thank you.

A year has passed, and no one on iNaturalist has identified this bee. Do you have any ideas?

Here are two birds from my day, a kererū in a tree at home and a korimako feeding on whaupaku flowers at work.

Also, I found what appears to be the first palm seedling seen in Lincoln, an offspring of a planted Chusan Palm, Trachycarpus fortunei, which naturalises freely further north in NZ.

All added to #iNaturalist:

Although I run my account under the name Birdwatcher, my first post here is about a butterfly.
This is related to my hobby, which is recording observations of all living things for iNaturalist.org.
I'll use all my photos there, even if they aren't very good—the main thing is that I have the location. I'm happy when a curator comments on an observation or when an observation is marked as rare.

I have 12 326 observations as of today.
