#WritersCoffeeClub Mar. 28: Do you ever sacrifice blunt clarity for prose that flows well?
Depends on what I’m writing about. Descriptive text tends to be a bit wordy (as is my dialogue, which I’m working on) while actions should be punchy and direct. I don’t think I’m talented enough to engage in long, flighty sections of text that blows the reader away but if my word count is low, I could probably ramble on a bit. 😁

If you had to pick one, would you say writing is more exciting or cathartic process for you?
Definitely more cathartic. I seem to be at my most creative as I have things to process - the screenplay came about after I returned from Japan (one that helped to heal some of the pain of losing my wife) and my current WIP seems to be a reaction to my discovery of my ASD. 🤔
