I knit, sew, and do all sorts of crafty hobbies. I run a hand-dyed yarn business called Bluebell Yarns. I also play modern and baroque flutes, have an unhealthy obsession with Stargate and enjoy reading.

So apparently I'm exhibiting at a yarn show next weekend! It's pretty short notice, but as long as I do plenty of dyeing this week, and as long as some yarn I've ordered arrives quickly, all should be well. I hope!
Luckily I'm pretty experienced at doing shows now, else I'm not sure this would work.
@GoblinHellion Yes exactly! Thankfully I've never experienced it as I've only ever measured myself, but I've heard stories too.
The other issue with stores is if you're wearing a wrongly sized bra when you're measured, that can throw off the numbers a bit.
@GoblinHellion And don't always trust the fitter! If you're at a store that only carries a certain size range, they'll probably try to fit you into that range even if you aren't that size.
I found /r/abrathatfits super useful for tips on sizing/shape/brands to try.

@DarkestKale 😆 We're not quite there yet (I don't think the majority of the orchestra know this is happening so I can't blame them really) but I'll keep it in mind.
The "No" has been sent. They replied immediately and left it open with a small guilt trip and an "If you change your mind, you really would be perfect..." but hopefully it'll stop them asking again.
@DarkestKale Yes I imagine that like you say, it's pretty similar! And similarly difficult to get out of once you're in.
