🚀 Thrilled to introduce my new Python library, Specifipy! 🎉

It automatically generates UML code diagrams for your programs.

https://github.com/netsatan/specifipy

The result is a D2 diagram (or a set of D2 diagrams), that you can generate into an SVG/PNG/PDF. The output is a text file, so you can track changes between versions on the interface level, without digging into the exact implementation details and reviewing the whole git history

Her Interactive is about to release a banger, on 7th of May! 🤯 After temporary fall from the most unfortunate entry, they rise from their knees and fly very high. Welcome 34th game in the series: 💎 Nancy Drew: Mystery of the Seven Keys 🗝️ Watch trailer: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5B_nRAyXtzQ It's a HUGE upgrade, when you compare these cinematics with other ND visual novels. Can't wait to get a feel of the gameplay that they, most likely, improved in accordance to general feedback as well. There is so much to do in and explore new locations: in 3D, no less! Essentially, you can have a ride to Prague as the detective Nancy Drew in this game and play brain crackers, haha. :blobcattea: #NancyDrew #ND34 #MysteryOfTheSevenKeys #NancyDrewMysteryOfTheSevenKeys #NancyDrew34 #HerInteractive #NancyDrewGames #NancyDrewDetective #videogame #PointAndClick #PointAndClickAdventureGame #detective #DetectiveGame #DetectiveGames #adventure #AdventureGame #AdventureGames #puzzle #PuzzleGame #PuzzleGames #VisualNovel

How to Prepare for the New School Year

I recently coined a phrase I'm rather proud of: 'I'm at the point of blaming the solar flares.' It's perfect for those moments when you've checked everything multiple times (even the compiler's issue tracker), yet the software doesn't work the way it should. Please, feel free to use if it works for you.

@robotalien And what I think, is that he did the right thing. It's not his job to maintain that software, that's a hobby, a community service. His original problem was solved ages ago. What if all the big tech corporations paid him a few thousand bucks a year just to maintain it? He never would've given the release rights to anybody else. If you don't pay me, you can't expect me to do stuff I don't feel like doing. This is just my opinion, of course. 2/2
@robotalien yes, I believe I listed these motivations in my blog post. I think donations would help mostly because maintaining a large OSS project that is utilized by a commercial software in the end has this feeling of not being treated fairly. Most maintainers have families and still have to code you standard, commercial software for a living. When the xz maintainer was informed about the whole thing, he said he's currently on vacation and will take care of this after he's back. 1/2
@robotalien you're right, again. On the other hand, unless you're willing to build all the software that you use, you'll never have that choice. When it comes to responsibility, I'm encouraging devs to support the software they build upon. Think about it this way: you use Electron for your project, so you donate to Electron devs. Electron devs donate to whomever they believe helped them and so on. Of course, that applies mostly to commercial software, not your typical OSS project.
@robotalien thanks, that's a very valid voice. On the other hand, the ecosystem got so big that it's really difficult to pick and choose in this way.
