I was puzzled the first time I was asked to recite the Pledge of Allegiance as a very small school child. Who were these four witches? Why were they standing? What did it have to do with furniture polish and who was this Lee Jance anyhow and why did she need to be polished and why was she going to the flag? And why was the nation under god invisible? I did like that whole "with liberty and justice for all" thingy at the end, though. Sounded pretty cool. Too bad I live in the USA instead.

Not correct. Please don't spread disinformation. It was easy enough to check before you posted.

RU military budget is $126B. ICE will be $37.5B. That, however, makes that one domestic policing entity's budget larger than the 16th largest national military budget in the world - Italy. And larger than the countries of Israel, The Netherlands, Brazil, and Switzerland. Israel is currently at war, no reason for domestic ICE to have more funding than the IDF. None.

This isn’t to downplay the disaster that is about to befall our country.

I'd certainly rather have all that money sitting idle in Jeff Bezos' bank account than funding concentration camps and thugs to put people in them.
