Lover of all things programming, especially when silly and playful.

Talk to me about logistics and your solarpunk dreams.

Posts are mainly puns, automata over streams, database implementation, procedural narrative generation, and questions about that thing you said you'd blog about.

Currently based in Portland, OR.

every browser tab is a timeline that could have been. *closes that article I swore I'd read like 9 weeks ago*
@TinJar Welcome to the "Nothing on My End Podcast." This episode everything is going fine, no updates.
@ireneista incidentally, Mitchell Hashimoto's writing on libghostty (alongside some personal research into VTTs) is what initially inspired this rabbit-hole. The amount needed for a technically functional (but not even close to good) terminal that can hold it's own as a daily driver is wild.
@brettwitty if it gets to the point where we have to coin a term, this is at the top of the list.
@alice_i_cecile GIS is a really good one! The amount of metadata that needs to be arbitrarily applied to different points probably gets insane.
@voided this probably fits. I don't tend to think of a web browser an engine...but other than being read focused it kinda is.
@badtuple i tend to call them engines
@badtuple 3D modeling software, GIS, document editor, spreadsheets
Someone just said PDF reader. That intuitively feels right, but I've never looked close enough.
