@josh that looks genuinely terrifying. @jmb
@freddy35 Sadly, I mostly use actual books! Duolingo is terrible, definitely wouldn't recommend it. If you aren't already aware of it, however, pealim.com is an online dictionary that has full conjugation of verbs and full listing of forms for nouns and prepositions, which I find invaluable to learn!

I think it's probably time to make a new #introduction post since my life picture has, well, changed pretty radically since my last one!

I'm a #queer man from Italy, and I am working as a researcher in #Korean studies at a quaint little university in #Tuscany, also Italy. I hope to become a university professor in the future. I have a second degree in #wine studies as well, which I’m currently only using to be obnoxious at parties.

I am #Jewish (a convert) and I belong to the local Progressive Jewish community. I like #videogames, especially indie and/or narrative ones (but I'm also an avid #FFXIV player), I dabble in #photography at an amateur level, and I love #food and #LanguageLearning - apart from my degree in Korean studies I've studied a handful of them academically or through self-study, and I wish I had more time to pursue #hebrew and #spanish.

Feel free to send a toot if you post about any of my interests - or even if you don't and you just want to say hi!

@hauntedhideaway I can help you with that. DMing you now
@hauntedhideaway have you tried flashcards? I know this sounds stupid, but flashcards (virtual flashcards specifically) have been incredibly useful to me in all of my memorization issues, so I can't imagine why they absolutely wouldn't work for blessings
@dukepaaron Thanks, this was a great read. It's frankly shocking how much I find myself and my own environment in her words, being just one country away.
Anyway, the lesson here is that you can't just decide on the historical origins of things using politics and vibes. You have to actually know history.
@skountouros they look like crunchy tortellini

So I tested positive for Covid for the third time today. It's been barely six months since the last time. My symptoms are fairly light, but I can't say I'm happy.

Let's just hope 2024 is kinder to us than 5784 has been so far.

This isn’t a shitpost this is just the fediverse
