Exciting news! Our work at #UWindsor on a highly potent antimicrobial composite material is now a published manuscript at RSC Sustainability. This work was performed together with the Kennepohl team from #ucalgary at #canadianlightsource who helped us determine the temporal speciation of copper in our composite. #research #bionanoscience #AntiMicrobials
Just looked at the data collection policies of #Threads vs #BirdApp and....Oy Vey iz mir.
i like how "illegal in the EU" means it probably violated a human right and "illegal in florida" means it probably is a human right
Last month, the #cons were all in favour of Muslim parents keeping their kids away from school so that they don't get taught about diverse families, most importantly, families with same-sex parents.
Now, after #france they are all "new phone, who dis?"
Minority groups - learn this lesson. Don't be diverted by infighting. Us telling you that we exist and are deserving of respect won't threaten your religion. Marine LePen and her ilk will.
The rate limiting incident in Twitter isn't really what pushed me over to use Mastodon more and more. Currently there is a hashtag on Twitter related to the French riots that's calling on the expulsion of all Muslim, African, and Arab immigrants from the entirety of Europe. The trending hashtag (at #2) is filled with images encouraging mass killings and lynchings of Arabs. There is no come back from this.

Big tech platforms now make a big turn from 'free to use' to 'pay for everything now'

And even if you don't pay directly on those platforms you will pay with your personal data

API's are now becoming a paid feature so many devs drop support for them since it's not doable anymore

I totally understand that things are need to be paid for at the end of the day but it also feels super toxic to see that "free-to-use" is almost become a no-go for them

Why so extreme.. 🙄

@ChemFacultyCDN thank you for your service 🙏
Ya boi got a cover page on #OrgBiomolChem.
#CSC 2023 was a lot of fun. Vancouver is glorious as always, provided you aren't buying groceries there.
