I was just reminded by a friend that today is the seventh anniversary of the Pulse nightclub massacre, where 49 people were killed and another 53 wounded. It’s shocking this event isn’t discussed more often— except that it was a gay nightclub, so we know why it isn’t.
I don’t know what to say. I’m not good at this sort of thing. But I do want the friends and family members, the survivors, to know that I will never forget that night. Never. To anyone who might see this: you’re in my thoughts and on my heart tonight.
In underreported news, the EPA reversed a Trump-era decision on plastic processing, which closes a major loophole that allowed the chemical industry to pass off toxic disposal as sustainable recycling. It isn’t.
Elections affect who runs the EPA. That also matters.
