In case folks are not aware of the interesting contrast about two #democracies - #US Vs #India : a constitutional amendment proposed in India seeks to expand the legislature and ensure population-based representation. And the southern states (smaller population but wealthier) to oppose it as unfair. In the US, the smaller and poorer states hold disproportionately more power in the #Senate and #ElectoralCollege
