Union jobs provide economic and class advancement over generations. That's why billionaires and their Republican minions are so desperate to kill them.

@counterinduration looking into it
@Reiddragon Just learned about crowdstrike, and I'm unclear on how it is windows' fault? Fuck microsoft, though.
@Reiddragon it's been four days of straight up blood and soil shit, calling immigrants 'illegal aliens' is the least of it. they openly want to deport 18 million people as a part of their platform.
@rawchili Honestly not that much more embarrassing than some of the shit I've seen. Why can't americans just sing their national anthem like normal people? Always gotta be a bunch of corny ass military larp and some micro celebrity running up and down the scale so much that the song is completely unrecognizable.
And the LaaAaaAAooOooOOOAAAAAaaaaAaaand oooOooooOOOOOOf the BRaaAaAAAVE
@libcom Sadly streaming has also decimated piracy on the web. Most people will not go through the effort of torrenting (and seeding) when they can simply pay a few dollars instead. Hopefully this will change as the streaming market gets more diluted.

I see some leftists saying things that are total nonsense about Ukraine; such as how the country is being manipulated into ties with Nato.

It strikes me how westsplaining is a fundamentally lazy stance, designed to protect the ego with minimum effort.

It allows people who only know about their own western country, plus know about USA from media, to have a comfortable opinion about Ukraine without actually needing to learn about the dynamics of eastern Europe.

Now that I've settled into Mastodon/Fediverse a bit, I've been thinking about the 1000 character limit in terms of micro fiction.

I'm sure that's not a new idea, but that doesn't make it a bad idea.
