There’s nothing more useless than a #UPS tracking number.

I spent over two hour today finding an #UPS location that (a) had space available, (b) actually existed, and (c) had open as claimed.
A good old kiosk came to the rescue finally.

Fun tour of #Hamburg but really cannot recommend.

I switched to an ATS (automatic transfer switch (1U 8 power ports with remote power control) and an inverter plus 100A AGM. I was tired of small UPS batteries and them dying so frequently.

I then use PoE for my wifi APs so when the power goes out barely even notice at least wrt the network.

Looking at replace or adding a LiFePO batter now that their quite reasonably priced.

Hintergrund, warum wir gerade versuchen mit UPS zu versenden: Paket nach London. Die Royal Mail konnte die Empfängerin nicht finden, obwohl Anschrift korrekt ist. Für die Beschwerde wurden wir an die Deutsche Post verwiesen. Die Deutsche Post verweist auf die Royal Mail, weil der Fehler ja da lag. Das Paket ist derweil verschwunden...

Egregious behavior from UPS. A gift was sent to my child by an aunt. When it arrived, they said we needed to pay a $50 tariff. We refused delivery. They then sent my kid a bill for $77.47 that arrived after May 2nd but saying it had to be paid by May 2nd or they would also charge late fees. #tariffs #UPS #badbehavior

Hmm, backup power plans vs. power outage, and find (yet again) a UPS not up to snuff. (I guess the data center managers put their battery cycling on a schedule, versus replacing them when they fail). Needs to be a budget item, I guess. Also this system here is plugged into a UPS, but apparently it's plugged into the "power conditioning only, no backup" outlet 😂
