I just got an idea on how to do a form of digital luddite action.

We could start a new cyber security firm. Create a commercial malware product that we get everyone to install on their system by saying it enhances security somehow. We don't need to explain how, people don't understand anyways. We only target proprietary commercial systems. And then when we have gotten our product installed everywhere we just send out an "update" that cripples all their systems. Since everyone trusts us we can just say it wasn't an attack, just a bug.
