LINUX community, we are looking at the problem of Flatpak'ing applications that require a system daemon to run or a new udev rule to be installed. I hope anyone reading this can reply with examples of this they know of so that we can understand the corner cases. #linux #fedora

I just release the beta of my first open source app Slacky, it’s a slack wrapper for arm64 Linux distributions. Slack is not offering the app for us using things Like @fedora on @AsahiLinux so I created it instead.

Flatpak and rpm formats are available and soon the app will be published in Flathub.

Valve is seeing an increasing number of bug reports for issues caused by Canonical's repackaging of the Steam client through snap.

The best way to install Steam on Debian and derivative operating systems is to follow the instructions at https://github.com/ValveSoftware/steam-for-linux/#getting-started and use the official .deb

We are not involved with the snap repackaging. It has a lot of issues.

If you don't want the .deb, please at least consider the flatpak version.
