Man, oh man, am I glad I left the bird site for #Mastodon. Just looked at Twitter and the top trending topics include Paul Pelosi, Madison Cawthorn, Auschwitz, #Nuremberg2 and Matt Walsh. I do not miss that kind of histrionic and divisive agitprop. Twitter's algorithm is breaking people's minds and slowly damaging democracy.

Pitch Almost all the trending posts, links and hashtags I get on my Danish language server are in English. I guess it is because the "local" fediverse consists of many large English/global servers....

This, I believe is a good solution: Dozhd maintains a safe haven in the EU, but in a country with less potential friction points.

1. Bc Mastodon is using standard HTML, Zotero is able to recognize any DOIs in your current timeline & import the related works into your Zotero library:
Right-click on the Save to Zotero icon in your browser and select "Save to Zotero (DOI)"
2. Did you know you can add individual Mastodon posts with metadata to Zotero when you're looking at a single post view, e.g. by clicking on the timestamp (the URL will look sth like https://fediscience.org/@adam42smith/109639860471806025 )
