An absolute GENIUS has put googly eyes on the huge white tube outside of the Pompidou center in Paris. And I am all for it.

This is your weird picture of Paris for today.

UK’s oldest known Oystercatchers discovered on England’s East Coast Wetlands https://www.rspb.org.uk/whats-happening/news/oldest-oystercatcher-discovered

"Researchers are celebrating after finding two record-breaking #Oystercatchers within just one month of each other on England’s East Coast #Wetlands. Both #birds are over 40 years old – three times higher than the average lifespan for an #Oystercatcher... Oystercatchers rely on The #WashMudflats for food as they are jam-packed with invertebrates such as ragworms, snails and shellfish."

EDIT: I dislike the use of AI as much as anyone however in this case I was willing to overlook the ***obviously*** fake image used by the publisher who based this article on a verified study. Two people have voiced objection to the use of the image so I am deleting this article. You can find the original in the thread.

“We are not disposable”

We're running two workshops (online & in person) with trans people to explore and exhibit trans ephemera. This is an opportunity to take part in and co-create a piece of trans celebratory art that will be displayed in the Vagina Museum for three to four months.

The project is supported using public funding by the National Lottery through Arts Council England.

Please see our OutSavvy for more details: https://www.outsavvy.com/event/26328/trans-ephemera-call-for-participants

Trans Ephemera - Call for Participants Tickets - London - OutSavvy

“We are not disposable”RESCHEDULED✨✨✨The Vagina Museum wants you. And your trans related disposables. The next exhibition in Anarcha’s Gallery at the Vagina Museum will be a co-created sculpture/ collage/ installation. The theme is the disposable nature of a lot of the things surrounding transition and trans life – med packets, gender affirming product packaging, paperwork – whatever you find piling up around you. The goal is to produce both personal narratives and a collective accounting of what it's like to be trans in a material sense.We'll be running two workshops with trans people to explore and exhibit this trans ephemera. All, some or none of the above things might be relevant to you and your trans identity – there is no right or wrong way to be trans, so participation is not based on use of HRT, surgical intervention, dress, pronouns or anything else. This is an opportunity to take part in and co-create a piece of trans celebratory art that will be displayed in the Vagina Museum for 3-4 months. DetailsThere will be two workshops. You're welcome to attend only the online session if you can't make the in-person session.If you sign up for the in-person workshop, please do try and come to the online session, as this will be when the bulk of planning & designing will be done.Please make sure you can come for a whole day of making. Online📅 Monday 2nd June🕰️ 6pm - 8pm A Zoom link will be emailed to you. In-person📅 Saturday 7th June🕰️ 11am - 6pm📍 Vagina MuseumParticipants are asked to attend the whole in-person session. The project is supported using public funding by the National Lottery through Arts Council England.

The standard excuse is "real artists study other artists, therefore AI is not stealing."

Here's the thing. Real artists study other artists, and do not produce nearly identical works, and if they do, they will contact the other artist and ask permission to publish the derivative work.

AI = plaigiarism-as-a-service

Le sport c'est politique ! ✊

Nothing special to do on your side: ‘guix pull’ will transparently switch to the new URL afterwards and the old one will remain available for at least one year.
