Letting Trump back on #Twitter could actually result in Twitter being banned from the app stores if they don't like it. Google and Apple have banned other companies, like the right-wing lameduck social media rip offs, from being allowed in the app store. Such a decision could effectively kill Twitter if it came down to it. Can't use it on the app store, you got nothing, your dead in the water. Its a really bad business choice, so #Musk will probably do it.

5. If you are on a larger Instance, consider moving to a medium-small one that is run by a responsible admin who has signed the Mastondon Server Convenant.

This does two things:

☑️ Empties a seat on those big, more known instances for newbies
☑️ Distributes the load of current users out

I don’t understand why people think Mastodon is difficult. It seems pretty straightforward, and the separate servers are no biggie. I’m enjoying this fresh start here, like moving to a new apartment!

What do you folks (who are Windows folks) use for system imaging? I run a weekly image just because if I'm in the middle of a music project with a deadline I might need to be able to do a bare-metal restore and not lose a whole day to getting my mixing environment reinstalled (drivers and 100s of audio plugins and etc etc). I've been using Windows 10's "Windows 7" legacy imager but it is slow, janky, and seems like it'll get discontinued at some point.

Just got followed by a bot from shota.house, and I don't know much but I can tell they're up to no good.

By the looks of things this at-happyshota bot is mirroring federated timeline posts into places that are blocked.

Not sure if this is #fediblock material but I'll let the followers of that hashtag work that out for yourselves.
