These unjust age verification laws will force more people into "piracy."

It reminds me of that Gabe Newell quote about "piracy":

So, here's a shitty thing... I've blocked Google from accessing my website via robots.txt, but it's still able to scrape information from my Bluesky account and use that to generate a dumb AI summary about me.

Calling me an "independent web developer" makes it seem like this is my job, but it's not. Saying that I'm "known for" my personal website makes it seem like I'm well known in the personal web space, but I'm not. Et cetera.

Just fuck off with your garbage AI summaries, Google.

it is for your own good - meta engineering probably 😂 from what i hear the IG app no longer shows your videos or pics to your followers. it is all algo driven. so you are not losing much not having that account. just delete the IG and move on with your life. no point fighting corrupt corporation i guess. fyi, mastodon/fedi offers pic and video sharing without stupid alogs.

these are early signs that the AI bubble is about to pop (combined with wars and tariff biz). When it does, it won’t just sink those "Plagiarism Machine" startups, it will create a massive problems for the whole IT/tech industry and it will even hurt other businesses too. It's going to be so bad that the Great Depression of 1929 will look like a walk in the park.

So Oracle is now firing 30000 engineers as banks pull out from financing AI data centres and OpenAI deals to meet fools dream.
