Colorado declared statewide drought emergency. I moved to CO in the 90s, my folks already lived there and they had a nice place in the foothills. In the summer their property was beautifully green with lots of flowers and other plants. In the following years things started to get drier, a slow and steady process that you hardly noticed but by the time my folks both died ~2020 hardly anything would grow for lack of water, the green was pretty much gone and the yard was crispy in the summer. This occurred over a span of around 25 years, which seems very rapid. Looking back on early photos of their once-beautiful property really is shocking. #GlobalWarming #ClimateChange #drought

The apricots this year are about half the size they usually are. Someone brought ripe apricots from Albuquerque which were the size of large grapes, mostly. Very dry here.
