Love open source, urbanism, travel, and adventure. Especially if those things are related to ski's or something pedal powered. You should all use the Oxford Comma.

Living in Wellington, New Zealand.

@SwiftOnSecurity Finally, something to challenge Hannah Montana Linux's reign.

I've bought two new (old) bikes. Bringing the total up to 10. I might have a problem.

If you live or move in Wellington please support this petition to WCC for "Quays Please", a simple proposal to allocate 1 of 6 lanes on the waterfront Quays to a two-way bike lane, as has been so successful on Kent and Cambridge Terrace.

Cycle Wellington
not sure how I feel about death, so I've decided to microdose it by riding my bike on the road with cars

My bike commute gets better for every extra bike I come across.

My car commute gets worse for every extra car I come across.

@RedRobyn @esoterica @KiwiNikki but it'd be fairer? I don't think EVs should get a free ride. This is a step further towards user pays, instead of just everyone subsidising EVs.

@KiwiNikki @esoterica this would be tax neutral I'm guessing. Just putting RUC on everything and removing fuel duty - ensuring EV owners contribute to the infrastructure they're using. So while I'd love them to also spend more on PT, I don't think that's part of the discussion.

If the government was more progressive they could increase RUC to cover council roads too and reduce rates or even put that extra money into lower carbon based infrastructure like bike lanes and PT upgrades.

@esoterica @KiwiNikki it's kind of a fair distribution of costs though no? Would also make rail a more attractive option for freight, which has reduced carbon emissions per tonne.
