If you live or move in Wellington please support this petition to WCC for "Quays Please", a simple proposal to allocate 1 of 6 lanes on the waterfront Quays to a two-way bike lane, as has been so successful on Kent and Cambridge Terrace.

@KiwiNikki @esoterica this would be tax neutral I'm guessing. Just putting RUC on everything and removing fuel duty - ensuring EV owners contribute to the infrastructure they're using. So while I'd love them to also spend more on PT, I don't think that's part of the discussion.
If the government was more progressive they could increase RUC to cover council roads too and reduce rates or even put that extra money into lower carbon based infrastructure like bike lanes and PT upgrades.
