Today we continued our Shackleton pilgrimage by visiting the graves of Harry 'Chippy' McNish - with its 'Mrs Chippy' statue - and (after some searching) that of Thomas Orde-Lees. Both members of Shackleton's team on the Endurance and, although neither of them liked each other very much, they were both laid to rest in Karori cemetery in Wellington. #Shackleton #Endurance #ChippyMcNish #MrsChippy #ThomasOrdeLees #KaroriCemetery #wellingtonnz
