Tamir Rice is 12 years old. He is playing in a Cleveland park with a toy pellet gun. A caller tells police the gun is “probably fake.” They pull up in a cruiser, don’t stop, don’t speak. Two seconds after arriving, they shoot him dead.
His sister, Tajai, runs to him. They tackle her to the ground.
No charges. No justice.
A child is gone, and the system that killed him still patrols the streets—still armored, still unaccountable.

The sad fact is that we're a violent species, and as violent as things are at the moment they aren't a patch on the violence we have historically meted out against each other.
Don't misunderstand me, I know there are peaceful, kind humans out there, but violence wins out every single time and the sooner those of us in the "merciful" camp, per the attached quote, acknowledge this fact the better.
Sorry but no. Even if we live in a society, you can tell me that my library is broken how much you want.
But you're not paying me to fix it.
Also, one thing is if we are talking about a hobbyist having some fun and reporting an issue, a different story is talking about multi-billion (or even trillion!) dollar companies complaining that a library, maintained by a single person, somewhere "is broken".
While such companies rakes billions in profits, they don't give a single dime to that single maintainer.... and they complain.
No, it doesn't sounds acceptable to me and there is no "open source world" or whatever that justify pretending a single person to give a damn.
You are a billionaire, or even a millionaire corporation. You have the money to check if what you use is ok.
Please, stop pushing responsibility to some poor sod for the benefit of Google & Co.
