Seven short years after the previous update, version 2 marks a new era of Deep Green. This is a full rewrite on a modern architecture that can be built upon with even more exciting features in the months and years ahead.

Growing up in the 1970s and 80s, we had a set of “Jarts” and used to enjoy playing them on our lawn. But they were definitely dangerous and I’m not surprised so many people were injured and a few killed (see https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lawn_darts )

As @Strandjunker notes, it only took *one* child’s death to galvanize Congress to act and ban metal lawn darts in 1988.

Yet today 3 children died, and the cowards in Congress refuse to act.

coolly, i reply "if windows was compiled with gcc, would that make it GNU?" i interrupt his response with "and work is being made on the kernel to make it more compiler-agnostic. even if you were correct, you won't be for long."
