If you want to reply to a thread but just want to reply to the original poster who started it, delete the other account addresses mentioned in your reply.

If you're on a computer and using Mastodon through a web browser, you can do this ultra-quickly by just pressing backspace before you write the reply. By default the addresses of people other than the original poster are highlighted, so pressing backspace removes them.

How to make your hashtags appear neatly at the bottom of your posts:

1. Write the tags on a single line at the end of the post, with nothing else after them
2. Include a blank line above the hashtag line
3. You can also include tags in the body of the post and they will work, but they won't appear at the end
4. Not every app or interface shows the tags neatly like this, but those that can will do so
