Amazing weekend at #GreatWarGroup 3rd conference, #Brighton. Great talks, fantastic camaraderie & fun, as well as the opportunity to learn about the work and research that others are doing. This morning was a visit to the war memorial, a few moments of reflection & commemoration.

DNA can be a great way to break down a genealogy brick wall. Working with a client's DNA matches, I made some small progress, but being able to triangulate these with his sister's DNA matches has allowed a great leap forward! Tomorrow looks to be a busy day - very exciting!

The Marriage and Civil Partnership (Minimum Age) Act 2022 comes into force on Monday 27 February 2023; this Act raises the minimum marriage and civil partnership age to 18 and removes all parental or judicial consent requirements.
